Temperament

The Jackie-Bichon is an active and playful little dog. They have a loving nature which makes them great family pets and are good with children and other pets. However with very small kids, adult supervision is advised due to the dog’s high energetic temperament.

It is important to remember that because both parent breeds are fairly active and have a lot of energy, you can expect that your Jackie-Bichon will also be active.

This breed has a thin coat and does best in warmer climates and tends to get cold quite easily. This breed is a great choice for first time dog owners who are looking for an active companion.

Care ~ Exercise

Owing to their parent’s lineage of Bichon Frise and the Jack Russell Terrier who are hyper active dogs, the Jackie Bichon is playful dog who won’t just cuddle around with you.

It is important for them to burn their energies and go out for walks, jogging, playing a few times a day. This will help them to be active and less temperamental. They are playful pooches and love playing catch and fetch and other games in the park.

Grooming

The Jackie-Bichon is a low shedding dog and do not need much maintenance. However they need to be brushed twice or thrice a week to keep their thin fur from matting and getting tangled. To keep their white and beautiful coat clean and tidy you can bathe them in 2-3 months.

Since this canine breed has folded ears, you should clean his ears regularly to avoid any infection in and around the ears. Besides this the basic grooming needs like trimming his nails every few week, brushing his teeth should be done to keep him near and tidy.

Health Problems

This is generally a healthy breed with a average lifespan of 12-15 years. However all dogs are prone to some health issues, Jackie-Bichon may also suffer from the following diseases.

Patellar Luxation

Deafness

Subvalvular Aortic Stenosis

Coonhound Paralysis

Progressive Cerebellar

Ataxia

Its recommended to check its papers with the breeder and visit a vet once a while for a check-up.

Training

This is a very intelligent breed of dogs and will grow up to be lovely companions if trained properly from their puppy days. They require early socialization so that they do not turn shy, scared or restless when they meet strangers or other pets.

Obidience training and teaching them proper manners and commands is always recommended for the pup to grow up in an obedient pooch.

Feed/Diet

A balanced and nutritious diet is recommended for them as per their size and energy.

Temperament & Personality

Bea-Tzus are playful, sweet, loyal and loving dogs who love to please their owners and being the center of attraction of the family members. They are very protective and possessive for their family members makes them a good family watchdog.

They are a fairly active breed of dogs who gets along well with kids and other pets in the family making them an great companion dogs for homes with children.

Owing to their affectionate and adjusting personality they are suitable for apartment lifestyle, provided they get sufficient exercise and playtime. They are not much adaptable to cold climate, though they are pretty much resistant to heat. Bea Tzuz are generally quiet by nature however, they might grow up to be a barker/woofer depending on his genetic traits.

Care ~ Exercise

While the Bea Tzu is a bundle of high-energy, it doesn’t take a lot of activity time to meet his needs. Daily walks, jogs coupled with some indoor playtime will channelize their energies well and keep them mentally and physically stimulated.

Grooming

The Bea Tzu’s are hypoallergenic dogs and has soft low-shedding coat making him an ideal choice for those that don’t like constant vacuuming. However, brushing your dog regularly is important, or else they would end up getting their hair matted.

Clip their nails regularly and brush the teeth twice a week and check the ears for infections on a weekly basis. Bathe them only when necessary with a good dog shampoo. A visit to professional groomers once in a while is recommended to keep the hair around their face trimmed, tidy and clean.

Eye Complications

Epilepsy

CBS

Patellar Luxation

Kidney Problems

iIt is always recommended to research its parents before you adopt them from reputed dog breeders or rescues.

Training

Being a smart and clever dog, the Beagle Shih Tzu mix would pick up training very easily. Your pet may at times show some signs of stubbornness owing to the Shih-Tzu lineage. You need to be calm and patient while training them.

Positive Reinforcement: Be firm in your approach, but never be rude to the pooch as this may strike some behavioural issues with them. Encourage him with rewards, praises and treats for a job well done versus scolding.

Obedience training, socialization crate training in their puppy hood days will help them in nurturing into a playful and calm dog. Be aware that your dog does not develop issues like “small dog syndrome” which is common in dogs of smaller size.

Feeding/Diet

Provide good quality dry dog food to the Bea-Tzu two times daily. Refer an expert to consider the quantity of food for these small sized dogs. The Beagle Tzu mix is an active dog and needs good nutritious food to be healthy.

Bea-Tzu Puppies Care

The Bea Tzu pups can grow into a stubborn furry pets if early socialisation at a young age is not started. Great care should be taken while handling the little puppies to avoid any injuries to his tiny limbs.

Never be rude to your little Bea Tzu or there will be training-related or behavioral issues in its adulthood. A positive reinforcement-based approach is recommended.

The Rottle is a designer dog breed which is a cross between two purebred dogs, the Rottweiler and the Poodle (Miniature or Standard). The playful Rottle combines the affectionate Rottweiler with the intelligent Poodle.

Rottweiler x Poodle = Rottle

Owing to its parents the Rottles have combined intelligence of both their parents and thus they make watchdogs. They are great for guarding, agility, obedience, and tricks. This <g class="gr_ gr_66 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling" id="66" data-gr-id="66">mixed</g> breed is also called a Rottiepoo, Rottiedoodle, Rottweilerpoo <g class="gr_ gr_9 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Punctuation only-ins replaceWithoutSep" id="9" data-gr-id="9">and</g> Rottweilerdoodle.

History/Origin

The Rottle is the result of a growing trend toward Designer Dogs that surfaced back in the 1980s. Though not much is known about the history about the Rottles, both its parents the Rottweiler and the Poodle have <g class="gr_ gr_217 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" id="217" data-gr-id="217">gainied</g> immense popularity in the last 2-3 decades.

These pooches are a result of intentional mating between their parents to produce puppies that carry the desired traits of both parent breeds – typically a healthier, hypo-allergenic (at times), smaller, or gentler form of a popular breed.

Appearance

A Rottle is a medium-large sized dog breed and can be anywhere between 15 and 27 inches in height and between 60 and 130 pounds in weight. They have a sturdy built, rounded head, floppy ears, and dark oval-shaped eyes.

Temperament/Behavior

The Rottweiler cross Poodle is an even-tempered dog who is calm, alert, and confident.

These dogs are very committed and loyal towards its family and are very protective towards them. This trait makes them excellent watchdogs as it warns its owners about any intruder by barking.

With the instincts of a working and hunting dog from its parent’s lineage, this breed demands plenty of outdoor activities to channelize their energies.

Their playful, affectionate and harmonious nature makes them a perfect companion for kids and adults. However, Rottweiler Standard Poodle mix should never be left alone with children until proper socialization training has been given as they may hurt small kids.

The Rottweiler Poodle mix does not typically enjoy being alone, but is not usually prone to separation anxiety.

Care – Exercise

The Rottle is a mix of two athletic breeds, and is a highly energetic dog who will need daily long walks or runs to keep him physically fit. A considerable active playtime during the day is recommended to ensure he is mentally stimulated.

Some of the favorite activities of Rottle include long walks, swimming, running, flyball and hiking.

These canines are prone to gain weight easily and thus regular exercise sessions during the day depending on the pooch’s size is a must.

Grooming

The Rottle is a low-shedding dog who may require a little extra attention during shedding season. Brushing its curly and thick coat with a pin brush and comb three to four times a week will keep its coat mat and tangle free.

Because floppy eared dogs can experience infections if not properly maintained, inspect and clean his ears weekly.

Brushing their teeth at least three times a week and their nails should be clipped when they get too long.

Bathe your pet occasionally f<g class="gr_ gr_11 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" id="11" data-gr-id="11">rom</g> time to time to prevent any infection and keep it clean and free from dirt.

Health Problems

The Rotti Poo is a medium dog who is relatively healthy and has an average lifespan between 9 and 12 years.

While designer dogs are typically bred specifically to be healthier than their pure-bred parents and have negligible genetic issues.

However, it’s important that you be aware of what your new pup could inherit from its breeder. Some common health issues which are prone to the Rottiepoos are:

Patellar Luxation

Hip And Elbow Dysplasia

Gastric Dilation Volvulus (GDV) or Bloating

Subaortic Stenosis Mitral Valve Dysplasia

Occasional v<g class="gr_ gr_45 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" id="45" data-gr-id="45">eteran</g> checkups and tests will help the dog to stay healthy.

Training

The Rottle comes from two intelligent parent breeds who are keen-to-please breeds which means he is quick to pick up commands and obedience training should come quite easily.

They are easy to train and proper socialization and obedience training will help your pet to establish a delightful nature.

Positive training methods like treats and praises from the owner will make the dog learn faster.

Feeding/Diet

The Rottle is a highly active and energetic dog that will require a nutrient-rich kibble designed specifically for his siz <g class="gr_ gr_27 gr-alert gr_gramm gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim Punctuation only-ins replaceWithoutSep" id="27" data-gr-id="27">and</g> activity level.

4-5 cups of quality dog food made for the medium and energetic breed with homemade nutrient meals will be adequate for the dog.

Overfeeding might make them obese resulting in a lot of health problems. Therefore the owner should keep a check on the dog’s diet.

Rottle Puppies

The Rottle puppies are to be imparted socialization and obedience training to help them develop a pleasing personality.

As they are adept at picking up commands quickly, the owner should channelize this trait of theirs in a positive way especially while training them for housebreaking or anything else.

Temperament & Behavior

The Shiffon dogs are very cheerful in nature and they have a charming personality to bring a smile at anyone’s face. He is an energetic, happy little doggie who often described as rambunctious and curious pet.

They are too possessive of their owners, territory and family members, and all things that ‘belong’ to them. As a result, they may be stubborn, irritable, and even aggressive at times. However early socialization at an early age will help the Brussels Shih Tzu mix learn exactly what behavior you expect from him.

They get along well with children and other pets if socialized from early puppyhood. Loyal and protective of their family, the <g class="gr_ gr_85 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" id="85" data-gr-id="85">Shiffons</g> make a great guard dog, perfectly adapted to live in apartments and small houses. They are not really quiet-natured and would guard their families and homes at night, while a single noise or stranger would make them yap and bark.

They love to be around people and families, and leaving them for long periods is not a great thing, as they may suffer from separation anxiety.

Care

Exercise

This dog breed is clever, intelligent, sensible, act obediently towards their trainers. This little pup is full of energy and will love to play with you and your loved ones all the time. Owing to their small size they do not require much exercise.

They love walking along with human companions and playing indoors is a part of their daily activities. A daily walk, jog session at the nearby park will be great for them. This will channelize their energies and keep them mentally fit too. They enjoy going on long trips. Lack of exercise can become destructive for them.

Grooming

The Shiffon will require a moderate amount of grooming. They have low to moderate shedding tendency depending on the coat he has. A longer coat too will need more bushing to keep it free of tangles. Regular checking and wiping his ears clean once a week and brush his teeth two to three times a week will keep him tidy and free from allergies. Bathe him only when necessary. Trim his nails every other week unless he wears his nails down on his own.

Health Issues

The Shiffon has the average lifespan of most small to medium dog breeds, which is 12 to 15 years. The Shiffon dogs are relatively healthy breed with only a few health risks to watch out for like Patellar luxation, Eye problems, Kidney and bladder problems, umbilical hernia, liver problems, allergies, ear infections, dental problems, Hip dysplasia, snuffles and reverse sneezing. It is always advisable to consult a vet and get a regular check-up for your pooch to keep away general health issues!

Training Tips

The <g class="gr_ gr_8 gr-alert gr_spell gr_inline_cards gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" id="8" data-gr-id="8">Shiffon</g> is a moderately easy dog to train who is obedient and loyal to his owners. The hybrid dog may be stubborn at times, but it responds quite well to training and learning tricks readily. The Brussels Griffon Shih Tzu mix can easily be taught to perform a wide variety of tricks.

They are intelligent, sensitive and clever with obedience training. But remember, praise and encouragement is the key to success. If you treat them, you will only encourage them, as they enjoy acting like your attendant jester, always ready to entertain you. So, it would be wise if you will hold patience and be consistent in your training techniques.

Diet/Food

A Shiffon dog generally lives on a trimmed diet. Only one bowl of food is enough to keep them healthy, jolly and active. So it is recommended to feed with the best quality of food. Their diet should contain all the necessary proteins and vitamins that help them survive for long and remain healthy. Optimal nutrition provided to them can reduce the health problems in them to some extent.

The English Mastweiler is a designer dog, a deliberate crossbreed between two large the English Mastiff and the Rottweiler.

English Mastiff x Rottweiler = English Mastweiler

Coming from the lineage of the English Mastiff and the Rottweiler, who are muscular dogs designed to guard people and property, the English Mastweiler are alert dogs who make excellent guard dogs due to their watchful and protective nature.

History

This canine mix breed was said to have been developed by a group of dog enthusiasts in Birmingham with the intention of creating a Molosser breed with a large body-buildup.

They needed it to be better than the English Mastiff in terms of guarding abilities, alertness, agility, and discharging duties assigned by police and military officials.

Hence, the Rottweilers were imported from Germany and were crossed with the English Mastiffs, Bullmastiffs, and Neapolitan Mastiff in the United Kingdom to get the new breed with qualities of both parents.

Appearance

Belonging to the category of a bandogge, this canine breed shows inconsistency as far as its body structure is concerned as it may be tall, heavy and muscular in appearance or even have a short and lean structure.

This breed of dogs is muscular and well-built in size, with a broad head, strong muzzle, and loose sagging skin.

The coat of English Mastweiler is short, fine and flat, with a thick undercoat and may take coloration from their parents. It differs in dark brindle colorings, but also allowed in solid fawn, wheaten, red and brown shades, although some black, black-n-tan, as well as dogs with white markings, can be encountered on occasion.

Temperament and Personality Traits

The English Mastweiler is known to be even-tempered, calm and affectionate dogs and makes good family pets. They are typically used as guard dogs because of their alert and attentive nature.

This canine breed is generally less boisterous than most dogs of their size, due to the nature of the English Mastiff, and they tend to be easy going, laid back and loving towards children.

They are very loyal to their owners and are highly protective of its household and territory, going to any extent to safeguard them, just like their Rottweiler and Mastiff parents.

Though the English Mastweiler does alright in warmer weather but prefers cooler temperatures.

Care: Exercise

The Mastweilers is an active and agile dog and requires a moderate amount of exercise daily for mental and physical fitness.

Daily walks and plenty of play opportunities are necessary for English Mastweiler health.

Grooming

These dogs have quite simple grooming requirements as this mix dog’s coat is short and manageable.

Although they require regular brushing with a soft bristle brush to control the shedding and distribute their body oil. A bath every month or two is typically adequate for these dogs to keep their ears and eyes clean.

Your pet may inherit the folds or wrinkles commonly seen on English Mastiffs. You should check on a regular basis to ensure that the folds of skin have not trapped any moisture or contaminants as these can cause skin irritation and a foul odor may develop. Cleaning them with a mild wet cloth or wiping them gently will help to keep the hygiene levels.

Health Problems

The Mastweiler has an average life-span of 8-12 years. They are allergic to certain foods like chicken and corn and has a sensitive stomach and digestive system.

A patient yet commanding trainer will lead them in a proper direction.

They are quite intelligent and can learn quickly. Socialization and training should be done early puppy days, this may help in developing their personality and help them mingle with other pets and kids.

Feeding/Diet

You can feed them with four and a half to six cups of good quality dry dog food three times a day.
