Coming from the lineage of the English Mastiff and the Rottweiler, who are muscular dogs designed to guard people and property, the English Mastweiler are alert dogs who make excellent guard dogs due to their watchful and protective nature.

History

This canine mix breed was said to have been developed by a group of dog enthusiasts in Birmingham with the intention of creating a Molosser breed with a large body-buildup.

They needed it to be better than the English Mastiff in terms of guarding abilities, alertness, agility, and discharging duties assigned by police and military officials.
