History of Frenchton Dogs

Started off in 1990, the purpose of the Boston Terrier French Bulldog Mix design was to eliminate the physical hazards of the French bulldog and to bring more stamina and mass.

Acknowledged as Faux Frenchbo Bulldog, soon became popular, due to their resistance ability to a genetic disorder that was common in the parent breed.

However, Frenchton puppies were more related to one of their parent breed than the other parent breed and most of the Frenchton puppies didn’t look alike.

This instability among the cross failed them to get registered as a new breed until after many generations of breeding, one can expect the genetic stability inherent in the purebred animal.
